The family business, Arnulfbräu, stands for unbreakable Bavarian tradition. However, things start to crumble when the owner dies and his wife Gisela fights with his daughter Vicky over the inheritance. It is not long before their entire social circle joins in the relentless trial of strength: Vicky's American husband, the managing director of the brewery, the former housekeeper, friends of the high society of Munich, and even an investigative celebrity reporter. Everyone wants to make a profit out of the situation, and the bitter power struggle very nearly leads the brewery to ruin.
