Four years have passed. José, Guillaume and Yann are ready to start their spiritual journey into priesthood, but are disappointed with their parishes. Meanwhile, in Paris, Monseigneur Poileaux is ready, after two terms of office, to quit as head of the Bishops' Conference of France and go back to the peace and quiet of his hometown, Limoges.

Yann, in Brittany, alerts the Bishop to a terrible secret; in Paris, Guillaume must take the punishment of his superior, Father Chalumeau.

Guillaume is entrusted with a humiliating mission, with a shocking end; Yann prepares to leave his parish after being brutally punished by his bishop.

After the recent tragedy, Yann faces off against Town Hall; the arrival of Tom with José brings conflict.

A conflict between Yann and his parishioners breaks out when they learn the police questioned one of their own in the Valliers case; José takes on Tom.
