Sam Loudermilk a recovering alcoholic and substance abuse counselor with a bad attitude, manages to piss off everyone. Although his drinking is under control, he discovers that when your life is a complete mess, getting clean is the easy part.

With nowhere left to turn, a worse-for-wear Claire (Anja Savcic) seeks help from Loudermilk (Ron Livingston). Deciding she needs to be taught a lesson, he and Ben (Will Sasso) take her on their version of a vision quest. Loudermilk also makes a play for his new neighbor, Allison (Laura Mennell).

You're Only as Sick as Your Secrets
Loudermilk (Ron Livingston) goes to great lengths to get Claire (Anja Savcic) to open up about her deep-seated issues, with mixed results. Stevie (Viv Leacock) reaches out to his estranged daughter and finds that some relationships are harder to fix than others.

It's all about the Beans
Loudermilk (Ron Livingston) is fed up with Claire (Anja Savcic) crashing on his couch and wants her gone, but her mother bribes him to continue to keep an eye on her daughter. Roger is conflicted when his old rock band is approached to use their music in a beer commercial.

There's a New Kid in Town
New member Tom (Brendan McNamara) joins the group, but isn’t who he appears to be. Cutter takes Tom under his wing to make sure he stays clean, no matter what it takes. Loudermilk (Ron Livingston) and Allison (Laura Mennell) butt heads over her taste in music.

Lay, Lady, Lay
Cutter continues to make things difficult for Tom (Brendan McNamara), but no matter what he tries, Tom can’t shake him. When he turns to Loudermilk (Ron Livingston) for help, Tom quickly finds that he’s on his own.
