The Third Man

S5, E1: The crew fights to save the lives of bomb victims when a bar in a foreign port is targeted by a suicide bomber. Caught up in the blast, 2Dads is pulled out of the rubble, more or less unharmed. And when he seeks to help a young woman whom he connected with in the bar just prior to the blast, he’s stunned to learn she was part of the terrorist plot. In the aftermath of the bombing, Mike is forced to assist Madelaine Cruise, an ASIO operative, on a covert SAS mission to kidnap and question a suspect. One of the SAS is Jim Roth, Kate’s old flame. Amidst the tensions on board, Madelaine garners information on the man behind the bombing and leads an assault on his safehouse, desperate to stop another plot to bomb an Australian target. Just when they realise Hammersley is that target, 2Dads also recognises a man on board, posing as a doctor, as one of the terrorists from the bar. In a desperate fight, he brings the suicide bomber down and saves the crew and Hammersley’s passengers.
