Dead Man

Dead Man is the story of a young man's journey, both physically and spiritually, into very unfamiliar terrain. Johnny Depp stars as William Blake, a naive bookkeeper who arrives in the frontierland of the Wild West to take up a position - that no longer exists. Stuck literally at the end of the world, control of Blake's destiny is wrenched from his hands after a violent incident at his lodgings, and he is forced to fend for himself in the harsh unsettled landscape. Shot in glorious black and white, and set to Neil Young's haunting score, Jarmusch's iconic western features an all-star cast including Gary Farmer, Lance Henriksen, Iggy Pop, John Hurt, Gabriel Byrne, and the great Robert Mitchum in his final screen appearance.
