Aspiring author Eddie Morra (Bradley Cooper The Hangover) is down and out, he's about to lose his girlfriend Lindy (Abbie Cornish Sucker Punch) and is suffering a chronic case of writer's block when an old friend introduces him to NZT. Under the influence of this revolutionary new pharmaceutical Eddie's life changes instantly allowing him to realise his full potential.
