From Fatih Akin, the director of Head On and The Edge of Heaven comes a comedy about family and friends, about love, trust, loyalty, and catering. Zinos' restaurant, Soul Kitchen, has certainly seen better days - more of a greasy spoon with its currywurst and schnitzel, it's not exactly buzzing. When his girlfriend Nadine accepts a job in Shanghai, Zinos decides that perhaps it is time he cut his losses, sell up and join her in China. But the Health Dept has a different idea.
