A group of 12 beloved past contestants and 12 emerging home cooks enter the kitchen to share their love of food and compete.

The bottom two teams after the previous challenge face elimination and must create two rounds of food, with the maker of the least impressive second-round dish to be sent home.

The contestants must identify a selection of leafy greens and herbs, and the first six contestants that are wrong face elimination.

The contestants compete in a mystery box challenge in a grungy warehouse in Fitzroy, where they learn that they must make dishes featuring coffee.

Contestants must find a way to make an eggscellent dish using just one egg. Those that fail must scramble for their lives in the second round.

It's elimination day and the creator of the best Round 1 fare will keep their team safe. Those fighting to avoid the drop must make a dish to be left overnight and cooked the next day.
