Dr Cox starts to drink excessively after he makes a decision that leads to the death of three of his patients. Turk begins his rotation in orthopaedic surgery, but he isn't a fan of his attending doctor's touchy-feely methods.

When Carla goes into labour, Turk shares his excitement by striking up the band to escort her to the hospital. JD and Kim think about their future and their child's future.

JD attempts to plan the perfect date with Dr Briggs, but Elliot seems to be in the way. Dr Cox and Jordan celebrate a milestone in Jack's life. Elliot hosts a baby shower for Carla.

JD attempts to see himself as a father. Dr Cox realises that his constant anger might impact his offspring. The Janitor reflects on his personal vendetta against JD and considers it might be a waste of time.
