With the help of Dayshawn, Gamby identifies a suspect. Meanwhile, Russell comes across a kindness strategy and decides to test it out at the school.

An unflattering caricature provokes Russell's ire. While searching for his shooter, Gamby finds himself in a graduate school class for aspiring novelists.

Gamby is forced to take on the role of acting principal after a death in Russell's family.

Russell prepares to throw a birthday extravaganza for himself, but things turn sour when Russell and Christine bump into her ex and she realises that Russell lied to her, making her question everything about their relationship.
