Jim and Cheryl have new neighbours across the street. The Devlins, come to view the house and seem to be very interested in it.

When Dana confesses to Cheryl that she cannot afford a Christmas gift for Jim, Cheryl lets Dana put her name on one of the presents she brought for him; but when Jim gets amazed by the gift he receives, Dana is ready to take all the credit for it.

Jim creates a scenario to get out of attending a baby shower because he has no interest in such gatherings. However, the imaginary friend he made eventually takes an unexpected turn.

To make up for a powerful argument, they had the previous evening, which Jim doesn't remember, Cheryl indulges Jim's every whim.

Jim gets in trouble when he lets his daughters Gracie and Ruby watch a scary movie, which gives them nightmares and sleepless nights.

Jim puts a lot of effort into winning over Veronica, a new, wealthy customer. Jim gets upset when Andy decides to go out with the woman despite his initial thoughts about her in order to get a very lucrative construction contract.
