Coy Stewart

Coy Stewart was only eight years old when he stumbled upon his first chance to appear on screen. Stewart's father, a former professional basketball player, was invited to bring his family to the set of the movie "Accidental Love" (2015) in 2008, because the production was looking for extras. Young Coy didn't mind working in the hot sun all day, and his outgoing, articulate personality was a hit with the production crew. When he announced to his parents afterward that he was interested in pursuing an acting career, they decided to give him the chance. The following year, he appeared in a production of "A Raisin in the Sun" at the Weston Play House in Weston, Vermont. By the next year, Stewart was cast in the TBS sitcom "Are We There Yet?" (TBS, 2010-12). He also began appearing on the rebooted children's series "The Electric Company" (PBS, 2006-). Stewart's parents formed a production company for him and his brother Chayse, who was also pursuing acting, ChayseCoy Entertainment. It was through ChayseCoy that Stewart's father Derek published a book in 2012 about Coy's path toward becoming a child actor entitled The Unlikely Journey. In 2015, Stewart was cast in a starring role on the kids series "Bella and the Bulldogs" (Nickelodeon, 2015-).
