Eddie Perfect

The multitalented Eddie Perfect initially found fame as an actor before rising to even greater heights as a songwriter. Born in Melbourne, Australia, he first began to gain notice in his homeland with his political humor, usually communicated through song. He appeared regularly on stage and released a pair of satirical albums, "Welcome to the Inside of Ed's Head" (2003) and "Angry Eddie" (2005), that marked him as an up-and-coming star. Television appearances on "Stingers" (Nine Network, 1998-2004) and "Kath & Kim" (ABC, 2002-07) showed off his acting ability. That led to his being cast as Mick Holland on "Offspring" (Network Ten, 2010-17). He stayed with the show for six seasons, playing the musician husband of Kat Stewart's Billie. After leaving the show, he joined "Australia's Got Talent" (Seven Network/Nine Network, 2007-) as a judge. He found himself in a new role when he began working with a pair of high-profile stage productions. He wrote original music for the Broadway reworking of "King Kong," which debuted in 2018. He was also enlisted to write the music for the stage production of Tim Burton's hit "Beetlejuice" (1988), which debuted on Broadway in 2019. The music for the macabre comedy, including the showstopper "That Beautiful Sound," earned Perfect a Tony nomination.
