Tony is recovering from the massive head injury he sustained at the end of series one. Sid and Michelle are nowhere to be seen - caring for an invalid friend has just been too much for them. So Maxxie has picked up the slack and has become Tony’s “carer”. However he is also trying to manage problems with his father Walt, who is desperate for him to be a builder despite Maxxie’s dream of being a professional dancer.

Sid isn’t coping well with the fact that his best friend Tony is a shadow of the man he was and his ‘girlfriend’ Cassie has moved away to Scotland and is having fun with a pair of tartan-clad boys. Things go from bad to worse when his Grandad, a notorious Glaswegian hard bastard, arrives dying of cancer to say his final goodbyes.
