Hilda Haynes

Hilda Haynes was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Haynes began her acting career in film, appearing in such titles as "Stage Struck" (1958), "Home From the Hill" (1960) and "Gone Are the Days" (1963). She also appeared in the drama "Diary of a Mad Housewife" (1970) with Richard Benjamin. She worked in series television while getting her start in acting, including a part on "All My Children" (ABC, 1969-2011). She also starred in the TV movies "Sarah T. -- Portrait of a Teenage Alcoholic" (1974-75), "F. Scott Fitzgerald in Hollywood" (ABC, 1975-76) and "Panic in Echo Park" (NBC, 1976-77). She also worked in television around this time, including a part on "Executive Suite" (CBS, 1976-77). During these years, she additionally appeared in film, receiving a role in "The River Niger" (1975). Haynes was most recently credited in "James Baldwin: The Price of the Ticket" (PBS, 1988-89). She also appeared in the Malcolm McDowell adventure "Time After Time" (1979). She held additional roles in television including a part on "Gimme a Break" (NBC, 1981-87). She also was featured in the TV movies "The Boy in the Plastic Bubble" (1976-77), "The Greatest Thing That Almost Happened" (CBS, 1977-78) and "The Miracle Worker" (NBC, 1979-1980). Haynes passed away in March 1986 at the age of 74.
