Janet Kidder

Best known for her supporting role in the pint-sized slasher sequel "Bride of Chucky," Janet Kidder is an unsung talent of Canadian cinema. Niece of '70s icon Margot Kidder (aka Lois Lane to Christopher Reeve's "Superman"), Kidder caught her first role in 1997, playing an unnamed co-ed in the campaign trail thriller "The Absolute Truth." She appeared with her aunt in a 1999 episode of the Canadian black ops drama "La Femme Nikita" (as a younger version of Margot's character). In 2000, Kidder landed a role in the docudrama "Blessed Stranger: After Flight 111," about the aftermath of the notorious 1998 airline disaster. Two years later, Kidder picked up a nomination from the Gemini Awards for Best Performance by an Actress in a Continuing Leading Dramatic Role for "Tom Stone." She starred as Corporal Marina De Luzio of the Canadian Mounted Police in all 26 episodes of the series. Kidder returned to horror in 2004, playing the director of a drug rehab clinic in the lycanthropic cult hit "Ginger Snaps: Unleashed." In 2007, she made a guest appearance as an animal lover on the Emmy-nominated primetime chiller "Supernatural," and starred opposite "Stone Cold" Steve Austin in the feel-good family boxing drama "Knockout" in 2011.
