Kimberly Caldwell

During the intense competition, Caldwell immediately struck a chord with viewers and judges with her energetic performances, gutsy vocals, and sexy, earthy charisma. Yet, in spite of her best efforts to win votes, she ended up in seventh place in the competition. When the season ended, Caldwell went on a national trek with the show's finalists on the requisite "Idols Live! Tour," before she parlayed her newfound fame into numerous hosting and correspondent stints on televised shows such as "TV Guide Specials: Idol - The Final Showdown" (TV Guide, 2005), "The 411" (TV Guide, 2006-07), and the extreme-sports show "54321" (Fox, 2003), where she chatted up celebrities at various red carpet events. In 2008, Caldwell found herself back in the limelight when she briefly dated "American Idol" season seven winner, David Cook, after being asked out by the new champion as she interviewed him post-victory. In 2010, she released the single "Desperate Girls & Stupid Boys," a catchy empowerment anthem that was featured on her debut album, Without Regret (2011).
