Madeleine Potter was an actress most recognized for her roles in dramatic film. At the beginning of her acting career, Potter was featured in dramas like "The Bostonians" (1984) and "The Suicide Club" (1988). She also appeared in the TV movie "Svengali" (CBS, 1982-83). Her film career continued throughout the eighties and the early 2000s in productions like the Bernadette Peters dramedy "Slaves of New York" (1989), "Spellbreaker: Secret of the Leprechauns" (1996) and the Kate Beckinsale dramatic adaptation "The Golden Bowl" (2001). Her work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "Harvest of Fire" (CBS, 1995-96). She also was featured in the TV movies "The Whistle-Blower" (2001-02), "Caught in the Act" (Lifetime, 2003-04) and "The Girl in the Café" (HBO, 2004-05). Potter most recently appeared in "Houdini" (2014-15). Potter was married to Patrick Fitzgerald.
