A group of 12 beloved past contestants and 12 emerging home cooks enter the kitchen to share their love of food and compete.

The contestants split into four teams across four benches to create a dish using ingredients from a layer of the balanced diet food pyramid.

Four teams vie for a shot at immunity in the infamous team relay challenge. The teams won't even know the mystery ingredient until the clock starts ticking; the first Masterclass of 2022.

Contestants are challenged to create dishes that feature a chicken or an egg. The one with the least impressive dish will be sent home.
