Amy is left back at Heartland with Janice to get a young race horse ready for his maiden run meanwhile Ty has planned Amy a dinner but there has been an animal hiding in the trailer so they make a slight change of arrangements.

When Tim's young racehorse, Cisco, is stolen on the way to his maiden race, Amy and Ty get help tracking him down from an unlikely source - Ty's step-father, Wade.

When tragedy strikes Amy must find a way to save Mr. Hanley's rescue horses from kill buyers and Mallory tries to convince Mrs Bell to try and save her childhood home. Peter and Lou are looking for a new home, and find the perfect place but things don't go according to plan in Lou's mind.

When Ty visits Mrs. Bell to thank her for paying his school fees, he and Amy are surprised to learn that she's moved out of her home and away from Sugarfoot. When Ty and Amy find Mrs. Bell in a retirement home, they break her out and bring her home only for her to realize that she belongs there. Ty finds out Mrs. Bell wasn't paying his school fees. Janice and Tim argue over Shane going to the races with them. Lou gets a job... that Peter interviewed for. Soraya moves to London to be with her boyfriend.
