Doug must deliver penguins to the zoo on Valentine's Day, forcing him to cancel romantic plans with Carrie. Carrie accidentally sets her friend up on a date with her boss.

Doug and Carrie must hire an exterminator when their sheets become infested with bugs. Meanwhile, Spence and Danny fail to see eye-to-eye over plans for a vacation.

As the mould problem in the Heffernan household escalates, Doug asks his father for the money to fix it. In return, his dad insists that Doug curb Carrie's wild spending.
