Jamal must decide whether or not to have Barry executed for leading the failed coup. Molly fights, against the clock, to secure Barry's freedom, while Ihab and Samira are driven by desperation.

Jamal convinces himself that Khalil is the only one he can trust, while Molly learns of Barry's true fate. Ahmed sets about convincing Nusrat to run away with him, while Ihab turns his attention to a traitor in the Caliphate.

Barry comes to the realisation that his survival requires the palace's support, as Jamal grows doubtful of Rami's loyalty. Sammy makes plans to donate his money to the Army of the Caliphate's opponents.
