Paul Bae
An actor, sketch comic and onetime educator, Vancouver-based performer Paul Bae has toured both the United States and Canada as one half of Bucket, a comedy duo he formed with fellow funnyman Charles Demers. Since leaving his career as a teacher to bring his humor to the stage, Bae has also performed as a solo stand-up, and has been active in television and film. CTV's "Comedy Now," a long-running showcase for Canada's comics, has highlighted Bae's talents, giving him his own television special. In addition to that appearance, Bae's TV work also includes a stint on "CityNews List," a news parody that appeared on CityTV in Vancouver. Bae was with the program during 2009 and 2010. Outside stand-up and sketch comedy, Bae's acting career began in 2006, when he starred in two low-budget shorts. The following year, he had a guest spot on "Painkiller Jane," a SyFy Channel action series. He also co-starred in the feature-length indie drama "You, Me, Love" in 2007. Bae's subsequent screen work includes a supporting part in the 2008 Wesley Snipes thriller "The Art of War II: Betrayal," as well as roles on the FOX mystery show "Fringe" and the WB's "Supernatural. He has also contributed to both the radio and television versions of "The Debaters," a CBC comedy series.
