Jess throws Cece a bachelorette party, while Nick and Winston take her fiancé out; Schmidt seeks out a former girlfriend in an effort to find a date for Cece's wedding.

Jess worries that she and Russell don't share the same level of passion as he did with his ex-wife; Cece, unwilling to admit her feelings, encourages Schmidt to go out with her roommate; Nick works on a vegetable garden.

Schmidt quickly regrets trying to understand the politics of a girl fight when one breaks out between Jess and Cece.

While Jess is helping her friend move out of her beloved apartment, she receives a call from the new principal telling her that the school budget is due the next morning.
