Sean Berdy

A Florida native, Sean Berdy is a deaf actor who is most readily recognized for his role on the family drama series "Switched at Birth." On the show, Berdy portrays Emmett Bledsoe, the hearing-impaired and silent friend of main character Daphne Vasquez, played by Katie Leclerc. Prior to this role, which he began in 2011, Berdy was featured in the child-friendly sequel "The Sandlot 2," also starring Max Lloyd-Jones and Cole Evan Weiss. He has appeared in two movies that were filmed using sign language: "The Legend of the Mountain Man," a family-oriented adventure, and the lighthearted comedy "The Deaf Family."
