Tex Ritter

Tex Ritter was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Ritter began his acting career with roles in such films as "Headin' For the Rio Grande" (1936), "Song of the Gringo" (1936) and "Trouble in Texas" (1937). He also appeared in "Riders of the Rockies" (1937), "Hittin' the Trail" (1937) and "Sing, Cowboy, Sing" (1937). He kept working in film throughout the thirties and the forties, starring in "Roll, Wagons, Roll" (1939), "Rollin' Westward" (1939) and "Rainbow Over the Range" (1940). He also appeared in "Cowboy From Sundown" (1940). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "Oklahoma Raiders" (1944), "Gangsters of the Frontier" (1944) and "Dead or Alive" (1944). He also appeared in "Marked For Murder" (1945) and "Three in the Saddle" (1945). Ritter was most recently credited in "Glass Chin" (2015) with Corey Stoll. Ritter passed away in January 1974 at the age of 69.
