Sue performs a seance with her friends, and the football team tries to stop Axl from attending the Halloween party in his room.

In an attempt to save some cash and buy her own car, Sue gets a job at a mall eatery; Mike and Frankie discover that Brick hasn't been attending classes; Axl goes to great lengths to avoid his awful roommate.

The parents are asked to form carpools when the bus drivers go on strike, and Axl studies astronomy to impress a girl.

Frankie finds solace in receiving unconditional love from a rescue dog; Sue makes the volleyball team; Brick helps Axl with school.

Frankie and Mike are keen to have a romantic weekend house-sitting for Frankie's sister. However, technology gets in the way.
