T.P. McKenna

TP McKenna was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. McKenna's career in acting began with his roles in various films like "Girl With Green Eyes" (1964), "Young Cassidy" (1965) with Rod Taylor and "Ulysses" (1967). He also appeared in the dramatic adaptation "The Charge of the Light Brigade" (1968) with Trevor Howard, the dramatic adaptation "Anne of the Thousand Days" (1969) with Richard Burton and the crime flick "Perfect Friday" (1970) with Ursula Andress. He continued to work steadily in film throughout the eighties, appearing in the Leonard Rossiter comedy "Britannia Hospital" (1983), "Honor, Profit and Pleasure" (1985) and the Timothy Dalton historical feature "The Doctor and the Devils" (1985). He also appeared in "Memed My Hawk" (1987) with Peter Ustinov. Toward the end of his career, he tackled roles in "Pascali's Island" (1988) with Ben Kingsley, the Dolph Lundgren action film "Red Scorpion" (1989) and the Colin Firth historical romance "Valmont" (1989). He also appeared in the dramatic period piece "Monarch" (2000) with Jean Marsh. McKenna last acted in the John Malkovich dramatic adaptation "The Libertine" (2005). McKenna passed away in February 2011 at the age of 82.
