James Cole, a time traveller from a dystopian, plague-ravaged future, arrives in the present on a desperate mission to change the course of history.

James Cole's mission to alter the course of history is jeopardised by a dangerous band of marauders who are on his trail.

Cole and Dr Railly learn about the Night Room, a clandestine black ops lab housing the deadly virus that is destined to spread across the planet.

When events in the Night Room bring into being an alternate version of 2043, Cole must put his own future at risk in order to save Dr Railly.
