Arctic Exposure

Nigel Marven starts his nine-month quest to follow the lives of Canadian Arctic animals. Harp seals, great grey owls, and polar bears are just a few of the animals he sees while enduring the extreme temperatures of Northern Canada.

Nigel continues his Canadian Arctic journey, battling blizzards to witness walruses on an iceberg and a surprising display of bravery among a herd of musk ox. He'll also see black bears, Arctic foxes, and beluga whales on this leg of his expedition.

Nigel continues his Canadian Arctic journey into high summer and meets moose for the first time. He checks in on the Arctic fox cubs and swims with the walruses and beluga whales. A polar bear's hunt completes the third leg of his journey.

Nigel continues his Canadian Arctic journey into the fall with a jaw-dropping scene as a polar bear charges into a herd of walrus. Later, a helicopter trip to a remote peninsula allows Nigel to get on the ground with adult bears for the first time.

Nigel concludes his Canadian Arctic journey, reflecting on the highlights of his year: harp seal babies on sea ice; musk ox defend themselves; walrus bask on ice floes; Arctic foxes feed their cubs and polar bears invade the shores of Churchill.
