Börje - The Journey of a Legend

Börje gets frustrated and feels he doesn't belong in Kiruna. His elder brother in Gävle is a hockey star, so after losing his job, Börje follows in his brother's footsteps to show his potential.

Börje gains notable success in Gävle, where he gets his own house and meets the love of his life, Margitta. However, the arrival of a Canadian hockey scout forces him to make a decision that will alter the course of his life forever.

Börje finds that there is a natural language barrier between himself and his new teammates; the owners of the Maple Leafs get increasingly concerned about Börje's recruitment.

Börje's rise to stardom in Toronto and the Maple Leafs is evident, and with a second baby on the way, he is juggling family life and career; Stig visits and questions Börje and the team's efforts on the ice.

Börje is severely hurt during a game; Margitta fears for his life and can no longer stand by and watch her husband suffer; Ballard has hired a new coach, trading players left and right and pushing them past their breaking points.

In 1986, Börje celebrates his 35th birthday and is still on top of his game. Other teams approach him, but he stays loyal and is determined to bring home the Stanley Cup with the Maple Leafs.
