On May 12, 2014, the controversial president of the Provincial Government of León, Isabel Carrasco, is assassinated in broad daylight. She is feared and hated for her leadership style and many people want her dead.
Seven years before the murder, Isabel Carrasco comes to power in León and Triana Martínez starts work in the provincial government. The two women collaborate until something goes wrong and Triana is fired.
No one understands how local policewoman Raquel Gago is involved in the murder, and she maintains her innocence. The defence cast doubt on the entire police investigation.
The jury make their decision and the memory of Isabel Carrassco fades. The filmmakers discover new information which was never investigated by the police.
