Henderson and Kirby confront a systemic failure; in a flashback, Duntsch sets up his private practice in Texas and is recruited by one of the nation's premier hospitals.

Duntsch begins his tenure operating in Dallas and the medical misadventures start immediately; Henderson and Kirby get support from ADA Michelle Shughart to stop Duntsch before he can do any more damage.

Duntsch tries to fix a disastrous surgery performed on a friend while the Baylor administration suspect drugs may be involved; Henderson and Kirby lend Shughart their expertise as she builds her case against Duntsch.
