Every day four people are killed on Australian roads, so Dr Kevin Fong wants to find out more; Melbourne has one of the world's leading trauma centres; kevin joins the team to find out how they go about saving lives against all the odds.

Dr Kevin Fong is in the grittiest of New York's five boroughs, the Bronx, where there were more than 12,000 reported violent crimes and 127 murders in 2011.

Kevin returns to King's College Hospital in London, where he spent several years as a doctor, to see if trauma care in the UK matches up to the world's best.

Kevin visits the Charlotte Maxeke Hospital in Johannesburg, which operates on a fraction of the budget of other trauma centres, yet is the place where young doctors from all over the world go to learn trauma medicine.
