Clem's idea of a perfect life with her adoring fiancé Nick and his amazing family goes off course when her younger half-sister unexpectedly comes to live with them.

Nick's parents learn that Clem doesn't plan to invite her father to the wedding, so they encourage her to ask him over for dinner at their home. Nick tries to teach Shannon to be more responsible.

When Shannon steals and pawns-off Walt's treasured belonging, Clem and Nick help her to recover the item and save her from debasing her image in the family.

In an attempt to get some time to themselves, Clem and Nick organise an afternoon rendezvous that falls apart when Shannon is sent home from school for not adhering to the dress code.

After Clem and Nick tell Shannon she's not allowed to go to a music festival on a school night, Shannon's mother returns and attempts to undermine them; Freddy tries to get back on Clem's good side before the wedding.

Annoyed that Clem hasn't been respecting her privacy, Shannon pulls a prank that ends up having far-reaching consequences.
