The story of five young women murdered in Ipswich, England in the winter of 2006, dramatised from the testimony of many of those closest to them. Focusing on Anneli Alderton, her mother and brother, while also introducing the other women and their families in the weeks leading up to their disappearances and deaths.

With the discovery of two bodies in quick succession, fear and panic begin to take hold on the streets of Ipswich. We follow the young women and their families as more disappearances are reported and the police investigation quickens.

This part follows the days after bodies, thought to be those of Annette Nicholls and Paula Clenell, are discovered. We see how their families coped with their unfolding tragedies and learn how the police closed the net on the murderer.
