Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and Anita Rani look at the amount of plastic people produce and where it ends up.

In Bristol, where Hugh and Anita have challenged some residents to go plastic-free, the attention shifts to the bathroom; Anita takes the residents to the local sewage works where they get a very graphic introduction to wet wipes.

Anita Rani investigates the tsunami of single-use plastic that parents pick up in the form of giveaway toys. It turns out that McDonalds is the largest toy distributor in the world, handing out over 1.4 billion plastic toys a year worldwide.

Hugh and Anita ratchet their efforts up a gear, as they take on the companies that make tea bags and sandwiches.
