Nearly 100 years old, in its prime Battersea Power Station supplied electricity to a fifth of homes and businesses in London. But for more than three decades this once great cathedral of power has stood derelict. Now a team are undertaking one of the biggest restoration projects the capital has ever seen.

In order to finally search for life on Mars, engineers at the European Space Agency have created a machine like no other, the ExoMars Rover. An interplanetary explorer, built to boldly go where no man, nor machine, has gone before. Costing over a billion euros, the ExoMars Rover weighs in at 310kg.

The Global Supertanker is the largest firefighting aircraft on the planet. This unique 747 jumbo jet is equipped to tackle the planet's biggest blazes. It is capable of dropping the equivalent of over four hundred bathtubs of liquid in thirteen seconds and can create vast firebreaks across huge areas that stop fire dead in its tracks.

The Singapore National Stadium is a gigantic multipurpose sports arena that sits under the world's largest free-spanning dome. Eight gigantic arches create an 82 metre high freestanding shell with enough space inside to contain the Sydney Opera House. The largest free-spanning dome the world has ever seen marks the dawn of a new age of superstructure.
