Jamie's Kitchen

Reality dawns as the selection process begins; the kids don't appreciate the tempura oyster which Jamie prepares in order to test their passion for food.

Among thousands of applicants, fifteen are chosen for Jamie's school. None of them know how to cook, so they start with basic lessons on how to work in the kitchen.

Jamie faces a serious problem: some of his trainees are skipping class, while others are simply not up to scratch. The size of the problem becomes apparent at the first exam.

Jamie sends the trainees on placements for a month to work alongside professional chefs at some of London's top restaurants.
