Three men pursue Joe and Asha down the platform at Paddington Station. They catch Joe, ripping open his backpack and sending thousands of bank notes fluttering into the air.

Joe fantasises about what he could do with the cash he's found, but knows in his heart that the money means trouble, so he quickly puts it back where he found it; Joe attempts to cut his hair like the pictures in Asha's magazine.

Joe gets ready for school but he looks a sorry sight. His mum should have been home three days ago, he has run out of money, and is almost out of food. His fear of Dean still stops Joe from touching a penny of the cash he found.

Alone again, Joe loads the cash into his backpack along with a few clothes in preparation for running away early the next morning, but late that night, the threatening man turns up demanding his money.
