In a town covered in snow, Yuichi reconnects with his cousin Nayuki, despite his memories fading long ago.

After his first day at school, Yuichi is able to recall memories of Ayu and she remembers a promise he made to her years ago.

Yuichi's attacker claims to have amnesia, and with the holes in his own memories and Ayu's forgetfulness, Yuichi wonders if the town might alter people's memories.

Ayu still can't find what she's searching for, but Yuichi knows he left Nayuki's notes at the school. When he goes retrieve them, he finds he's not alone.

Mai tries to explain why she has a sword at school; Mai offers Yuichi a bit of advice on how to handle the amnesiac.

Makoto goes for an interview for a job at a café; Yuichi is late for his date with Ayu after encountering Shiori.
