But Milton decides it's time to get square for Trevor's late arrival to Coolibah Station this season. The wet season is over and the first muster of the new season is about to start. The land around Coolibah is a tinderbox. One spark and the whole country could go up in flames. Milton however could be that spark... Rookie Jeff gets a tough initiation to being a worker at Coolibah. Milton's testing him out to see if he really is worthy to become a chopper pilot. Who's going to crack first? Plus Little Milton gets a riding lesson from mum Cristina.

It's the first big muster for the season. Milton's running three choppers in the air and an army of workers on the ground. Young Jeff wants to fly with the big boys but he's got to earn respect on the ground first. In the contest between Jeff and beast ... the beast is winning. But along comes a beauty by the name of Raine to help him out, and she just happens to be the girl next door. It's Little Milton's first day at a little school built for just one student, and he and teacher Raine get down to work. It's Kristie and Hamish's first wedding anniversary. Kristie isn't expecting much particularly as Hamish has promised her "a six pack and a bowl of two-minute noodles". But Hamish is full of surprises. Meanwhile, the police turn up at Coolibah out of the blue. But who's in trouble?.

The first big muster of the season is over. But the following morning, someone didn't make it back home. Milton sends out a helicopter search party to track down one of his most trusted workers. Raine takes Jackaroo Jeff on a shopping trip to buy him clothes, more suitable to being a cowboy. On the way back to Coolibah she picks up a live crocodile to take back to her Dad Bluey's croc farm. Trevor is having trouble breaking in his horse. And to add to the pressure of coming out of retirement as a jockey, he's suddenly got a rival: Milton's sister Terry announces she's riding in the same race. Milton's bigger kids Beau and Alex are home from boarding school. What better way to unwind from a term of learning than water skiing underneath Milton's chopper on a croc filled river.

Milton has put a bounty on the biggest barramundi someone can catch at Coolibah in their annual fishing competition. However, it seems that a Coolibah competition isn't always a fair one, and determined to win, everyone involved is prepared to resort to good old fashioned cheating to win. Trevor the Cranky Cook is training hard for the upcoming country race meet. He's managed to tame his horse, and vigorously exercising while wearing thick layers of clothes has caused him to drop some necessary kilos. But how's he going to go against the Boss's sister? Meanwhile Little Milton goes into training for a mini-rodeo and a life threatening medical emergency, hundreds of kilometres away from the nearest hospital shocks everyone.
