Kevin McCloud buys himself a beautiful piece of woodland, and with the help of friends and experts, builds a cabin. Everything has to be made by hand from his woodland, or has to be sourced from someone's rubbish.

Now that Kevin's cabin's glorious shingled shell has been finished, the next major task is to install a solid, durable floor, a window for light, and most important of all, the heart of the home, a fire for heat.

Kevin's cabin is now habitable, but he has yet to add the vital furnishings to turn it into a comfortable home. He makes an armchair out of a 1950s tractor seat and crafts a small lightweight bed from willow.

Kevin adds a little bit of luxury to his handmade cabin. He installs a unique hot tub and a drop down veranda while waiting for his luxury alpaca wool bath robe, and he throws a house warming to remember.

Kevin has set himself a new challenge - he's moving the entire shed to the sublime Somerset Jurassic coast. This stunning off-grid location brings fresh adventures for Kevin as he transforms his beloved cabin into the beach home of his dreams using locally available resources and other people's junk.

It's June and the weather's unsettled. Kevin wants to bring the sunlight into his shady shed and stay dry! So he's building a glistening glass sun lounge out of recycled windows culled from lorry's and aeroplanes.
