Midnight occult civil servants

Young Arata Miyako prepares for his first day working at the Shinjuku ward office; he learns that he'll be talking to supernatural entities.

Arata has the ability called Sand Ears, which allows him to understand the speech of the supernatural beings. He sets out on a new investigation to solve a spate of complex thefts involving magical items.

Arata becomes trapped in an abandoned hospital beneath the ground, while hordes of zombies flood Shinjuku park.

The Nocturnal Community Relations division checks-up on several of the Anothers in Kabukicho. They find one has awoken after a long slumber with big plans.

People are disappearing and losing their memories in two elevators in City Hall; when Arata and his co-workers go to investigate, Arata finds himself trapped in another world.

Sakaki becomes convinced that he knows where his missing sister was taken, but his determination to find her will lead him to abuse his trust with the rest of the department.
