The junior high team barely makes it through the national juniors preliminaries; Souichirou and his brother's relationship comes to light.

Daisuke's expert pitching impresses the team, but when the team goes to the Tokyo Tournament, Daisuke fails to appear at the start of the game.

After Nikaidou's pitching fails to land the team a win, a pitcher from the opposing team offers to transfer to Meisei High.

Daisuke has a reason for missing practices; the team gets a new manager just in time for their new season.
