12 overweight teams of two compete in a weight loss competition, where the entrance fee is $10,000. After eating one final lavish meal, the teams have to work out for the first time.

Teams gather to begin plotting over controlling the up and coming vote; a budding romance may impact the game.

The vote leaves several teams feeling betrayed, prompting them to form an alliance called The Orphanage. The abuse of power causes another alliance to emerge, known as The Family, with the aim of sending every member of The Orphanage packing!

Personalities clash as $10,000 of their own money is on the line, which leads to a fight breaking out between the two strongest teams.

At the half-way point in the competition, some people are relying more on alliances than losing weight.

The teams are tasked with a challenge that is both physical and mental; members of both alliances make secret deals.
