Rewilding

The European bison existed alongside our species for ages, but due to excessive hunting, they were pushed to extinction; due to the current rewilding operations, the fascinating creatures are back in their natural habitat.

White-tailed eagles are back along large parts of the Norwegian coast. These birds have created new opportunities for photographers and nature tourism. However, for sheep farmers, these predators can cause problems.

When people move from villages to cities, it leads to major changes in nature. Predators such as lynxes and wolves return to large parts of Europe, and populations of deer and wild boar explode.
