Yoshika's healing spell catches the attention of Major Sakamoto, who is keen to recruit her for a military unit.

With reinforcements a long way off, Mio along with the ship's air forces fight against the Neuroi ship. Frustrated that she cannot do more to help, Yoshika decides to don a Striker Unit to assist Mio.

Yoshika is introduced to the other members of the 501st Joint Fighter Wing; Yoshika and Lynette are left as the only defence against a Neuroi attack.

Luftwaffe ace Gertrud Barkhorn is distracted by the state of her seriously injured younger sister. This causes her to become indifferent towards Yoshika, as her appearance resembles that of her sister.

The Witches head to the Britannian coast for a mix of training and relaxation. Charlotte tunes up her Striker Unit and hopes to break the sound barrier with it.

When a suspicious Neuroi is spotted in the clouds, Yoshika is assigned on night patrol with Sanya and Eila to investigate.
