The Promise
A loving relationship with God is broken when Adam and Eve sin; God, however, promises to send a deliverer who will pay the ultimate price to restore the broken relationship between God and mankind.
EPISODE 3
Provision
In a judgement of floodwaters, God provides one way of escape for all who believe; years later, in a divine test with Abraham, a striking picture is painted of a future substitute who will give His life for the world.
EPISODE 4
Deliverance
As God delivers His people from slavery, He demonstrates that He alone is God; during the tenth plague, the only way to escape death points to a future deliverance of a world in bondage to sin and death.
EPISODE 5
The Law
When God gives his holy laws at Mount Sinai, the moral standard they reveal works like a mirror to show the sin within every human heart and drive people to realise that their only hope is in the coming deliverer.
EPISODE 6
Atonement
The day of atonement, sacrifices, and a rebellious nation perishing from venomous snake bites, all serve to reveal how the coming deliverer would be the innocent one dying in order that others might live.
