The Accident

After seeing her husband off at the airport, Lucía goes back home to prepare her son's birthday party, but she suddenly learns the plane José was on crashed and there are no survivors.

With the support of her family, Lucía tries to cope with her husband's disappearance; her brother-in-law Juan offers her and her son protection, but Lucía is convinced there is something strange about José's attitude, so she starts investigating.

Lucía cannot believe José is alive, and asks him what happened to him, but he tells her an incredible story about shady business he had to go into in order to get money for his son's surgery.

The police have found a car at the bottom of a lake; everything seems to indicate the vehicle belongs to Chupito, but somebody has gone to the trouble of trying to make the dead body disappear.

María takes Lucía to hospital, where doctors tell her she is pregnant, but the young woman refuses to tell José.

Despite her doubts, Lucía cannot abort; though Samuel cannot stop making questions about his father, Lucía is sure about separating.
